Biography

Brent Thibeaux is a graduate from Saint Augustine's University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.  He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Grambling State University. He has coached baseball for over 17 years.  He coached Kappa baseball with his father in the Oakland Babe Ruth League. He became a commissioner for Team Cali baseball, a traveling baseball team addressing the disparities of primarily young African American men of color playing baseball in college. He successfully led his team to four straight championships between 2009 and 2012.  They traveled to cities like Richmond, VA, Orlando, FL, Greensboro, NC and won a championship game in Sanford, FL in 2011. He served on the Antioch, CA,  Parks and Recreation board from 2011-2012. He served on the Grambling State University Northern California Alumni advisory board. He has been a guest speaker at Alameda County Juvenile Hall.  He has a passion for youth and desires to change their life’s direction from despair to success. He is a 2009 Black Coaches Association winner of the Tony Dungy educational excellence award. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and is currently employed at Fortune 50 company.
